6th Annual Beer & Cider Festival 2013

Our 2013 Beer Festival and Cider Festival will take place over the 3rd weekend in October.

We will be serving up a treat for Real Ale lovers across the Northeast at our annual Festival where we will showcase 16 Premium & Local Cask Ales and 10 Real Ciders & Perry's from around the UK.

The clubs catering team will be serving up hearty homemade grub from Roast Meat Sandwiches to Steak & Ale Pie!

For the 6th year in a row we have won Durham CAMRA Club of the Year and this years Beer Festival will once again underline the our committment to Real Ale.

Our ales will include numerous festival award winners with Thornbridge's Jaipur IPA being the Star of the Show.

Our cider selection will be sourced from Craft Cider who have available a wide selection of the best ciders in the UK. They will be attending the event on the Friday evening allowing people to taste different ciders and be educated a little on their origin.

CAMRA Club of the Year 2012

Real Ale at Chester le Street Cricket Club has been recognised as some of the best around, we have won CAMRA Club of the Year 2008, 2009, 2010,2011 and 2012 as well as receiving 100% on annual inspections carried out by Cask Marque.

On top of being awarded Durham CAMRA club of the year we have been awarded REGIONAL CLUB OF THE YEAR this is a fantastic achievement for us and one that we are extremely proud of, David Avery Bar Manager said "The award shows our commitment to offering our customers the highest quality of real ale as well as a diverse selection of ales from both local micro breweries and the larger national breweries. The award is something we are very proud of and will strive to maintain the high standards our customers have come to expect."

We regularly serve at least three cask ales each week ranging from well known brews from established brewers such as Black Sheep, Greene King, Fullers & Thwaites to local ales from micro breweries such as club favourite Consett Ales Work’s, Mordues, Beamish, North Yurkshire Brewing Co & High House Farm.

We try to stock a full range of ales of all different colours, gravity & flavour whilst keeping in the local favourites. We also pay attention to our customers and strive to stock requested ales when available.

All real ale lovers are welcome at Chester le Street Cricket Club, come in and try a pint of one of our cask ales whilst spending the afternoon watching cricket in our picturesque ground.
