• Summer Festival at Chester-le-Street Cricket Club

August 11 – Summer Festival returns to CCC

Are you ready for a summer festival that exudes the spirit of community, the wonderful sport that is cricket, and some simple good old fun?

Chester-le-Street Cricket Club brings you exactly that on August 11th. Yes, Sundays ARE supposed to be a day of rest, but we have some cracking things lined up for you – this is one Sunday you’ll be glad you’re out of the house.

Just picture it now: the sun is shining above our field, you’re surrounded by your loved ones and you’re watching a riveting game of cricket with a beverage in hand.

What’s even better? FREE ENTRY FOR ALL!

The fun officially begins at 09:30, but if you want to get yourself down for breakfast from 08:00 onwards we’d love to have you. Fuel yourself with a bacon sandwich or an English breakfast to ensure that you’re full of beans (maybe even literally?) for the day ahead.

The event is sponsored by some of our incredible partners: Jak HQ, Your Move, DMA Law and Premier Insurance. Together we bring you live cricket (well, of course!) sideshows, games, and a delicious cake stall.

Our famous tea hut will be open so you can secure hot food and drinks throughout the day. Fancy something a bit stronger? Our bar will be open as normal.

We’ll keep you busy smiling and laughing up until 14:00 when our summer festival finishes, and you can move down the road to Emirates Riverside for MORE CRICKET!

The T20 Blast is one of the highlights of the English domestic calendar, and at CCC we’ve made it even better for you…

When you drop by our summer festival, we’re giving out FREE TICKETS for children, and adults will only have to pay £10 for theirs. The Durham vs Nottinghamshire game kicks off at 14:30, giving you plenty of time to leave us here at CCC and make your way across town.

We don’t know about you, but we’re still reeling from England’s first-ever Cricket World Cup win earlier this month – has there ever been a better time to celebrate such a wonderful sport?
